I studied at The Birmingham College of Art before working for a while as an illustrator for The Open University.
Later in life I took a Bachelor of Education degree and subsequently took up full time teaching.

Now retired I finally have the time to return to my personal passion for drawing and painting.
My intention is that each of my portraits don't just end up being something that is a mere similarity to the person but more an emotional portrait, which conveys the true personality and human spirit of my subject.
